The rainy season is
between November to May, however being a tropical climate, rain fall is
experienced through out the year.
Wind:
The SE monsoon winds
blow between May and October. This is when the sea is roughest and less
suitable for fishing.
Fishing:
Please
be advised, that Cerf Island is situated within the Sainte Anne
Marine Park
and fishing is therefore prohibited within it’s boundaries.
Arrangements can be made for fishing charters outside the Marine Park.
How to get There…
On arrival at Mahé International Airport taxis are available to
take you to the Marine Charter where our boat "Fairy-Tern" will meet you and
take you on the short boat ride to Cerf Island
where you will disembark on the beach. (Boat trips on arrival and
departure are complimentary)
On Departure our boat will take you to the Marine
Charter where you will be met by a taxi (or your local representative/s)
to transport you to the airport. (All Taxi fares are for your own
account, please)
Taxi fares to and from the airport to the Marine
charter are 15 Euro and are subject to change without notice.
Scheduled Boat
trips from Cerf Island
to the Marine Charter will be at 0800hrs and 1430hrs, and are
complimentary.

Complimentary
‘starter pack’ (bread, butter, milk, eggs, tea and coffee
and soft-drinks) for stays of 2 days or more. (For your convenience, we
do keep a stock of some basic groceries in our chalet store which can
be purchased, as there are no shops on Cerf Island.)

Personal
laundry service is available, at minimum charge, on request.

Barbeque
facilities and two-man canoes are available for client use.

Snorkeling
equipment is also available, however to ensure a better fit, you may
wish to bring your own.

Fresh
local fish can be purchased on your behalf on request.

and fax facilities, are available during office hours at minimum charges. WiFi access is available on request.

There
is a hotel with a restaurant within easy walking distance
along the beach where meals can be ordered.

Car hire, glass bottom boat trips, Fly-fishing, Deep Sea
and/or Bottom Fishing Charters, diving and/or snorkeling trips, and Marine Park
Tours
can be arranged on request.
